3. Hazard identification
Health hazard:
* Harmful to the body: Lung damage can occur after swallowing.
* Frequent contact with the skin can cause dryness and division.
Physical and chemical hazards / fire and explosion hazards:
* Mild danger. The material will form a flammable mixture or burn only when heated to or above its flash point.
* Electrostatic discharge. The product will accumulate static electricity and generate electric sparks.
4, first aid measures
Inhalation:
* Use the appropriate respiratory protection device to immediately transfer the patient to the doctor. If the patient stops breathing, artificial respiration is required. Keep a rest and get medical care in time.
skin contact:
* Rinse with plenty of water and use soap if possible.
* Remove most of the stained clothing, including shoes. Wash it before wearing it again.
eye contact:
* Flush the eyes with plenty of water until the irritation subsides. If the irritation persists, medical treatment is required.
Ingestion:
* If swallowing occurs, do not induce vomiting. Keep a rest and get medical care in time.
5, fire extinguishing measures
Fire fighting steps:
* Spray with water to cool the surface touched by the flame and protect personnel. Cut off the "fuel" source.
* Use a foam, dry powder compound or water to spray the fire.
Special fire warning:
* Do not spray water directly into the storage container. This will create a risk of bumping.
* Refer to Section 4 “First Aid Measures” and Section 10 “Stability and Activity”.
Dangerous combustion products:
*No unusual
6, accidental spill treatment measures
Ground spill:
* Isolated people. In the absence of danger, cut off the source of the hazard as much as possible. If the substance enters the water network or sewer, or contaminates the land or crop, the relevant unit must be notified. Take measures to minimize its impact on launching water.
* Adsorb spilled liquid with yellow sand and mud.
* Recycle with a pump (using an explosion-proof or manual pump) or a suitable absorbent material. If the liquid is too viscous to pump, use a shovel and bucket to shovel and place in a suitable container for recycling or disposal.
* Consult the relevant experts for specific requirements for the disposal of all recycled materials to ensure compliance with local waste disposal regulations.
* Refer to Section 4 “First Aid Measures” and Section 10 “Stability and Activity”.
Water spill:
* Warn other ships. Notify the port or related functional agencies to prohibit public gathering. If there is no danger, cut off the source of combustion as much as possible. If possible, take quarantine measures.
* Remove surface contamination or remove surface contamination with a suitable adsorbate. Disperse contaminants in open waters and/or use dispersing agents as appropriate, with the permission of local authorities and the environmental authorities.
* Consult the relevant experts for specific requirements for the disposal of all recycled materials to ensure compliance with local waste disposal regulations.
* Refer to Section 4 “First Aid Measures” and Section 10 “Stability and Activity”.
7. Handling and storage
Storage temperature (degrees Celsius): normal temperature
Transportation temperature (degrees Celsius): normal temperature
Loading and unloading temperature (degrees Celsius): normal temperature
Storage / transport pressure (kPa): atmospheric pressure
Static buildup hazard: Yes, use appropriate grounding measures
General mode of transport: railway tankers, barges, barrels
Suitable materials and coatings: carbon steel, stainless steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, PTFE
Unsuitable materials and coatings: natural rubber, butyl rubber, EPDM, polystyrene
The compatibility of plastic materials may vary. Therefore, we recommend testing compatibility before use.
Storage / handling, general precautions:
* Make sure the container is tightly closed and handle it with care. The action is slow when opening the lid to control the release of pressure inside the container. Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from incompatible materials.
* Do not store, open or use near an open flame, heat source or ignition source. Avoid direct sunlight.
* This product will accumulate static electricity and may cause sparks (ignition source). Appropriate joint or grounding measures must be taken.
* Do not pressurize, cut, heat or weld the container. Empty containers may contain product residues and should not be used until they have been professionally cleaned or reformed.
Additional warning:
* This container is still dangerous even if it is empty. Please continue to pay attention to all safety matters.
8, contact control / personal protection
Mechanical control measures / ventilation
Whenever the product is used in a restricted space and heated to above room temperature, it is recommended to use a mechanical dilution ventilation facility, otherwise it must be used at a normal concentration below the recommended limit contact concentration.
Occupational exposure safety limit
It is recommended to use the reciprocal calculation (RCP) to form the components to calculate the equivalent value of the overall hydrocarbon mixture:
Hydrotreated light oil (petroleum):
TWA: 1200mg/m3 (165ppm).
personal protection
General recommendations:
Personal protective equipment should be selected according to the degree of hazard of the product, the use of the workplace and products. In general, we recommend using at least protective goggles with protective edges and overalls that protect your arms, legs and body. In addition, anyone who enters the scope of use of the product should wear at least protective glasses with protective edges.
Special recommendations:
Based on and limited to our experience with this product, the following recommendations can provide satisfactory protection to industrial users or processors.
Respiratory protection:
When the concentration in the air exceeds the concentration limits given in this section, it is recommended to use a half-mask filter gas mask to prevent excessive inhalation of harmful dust. Suitable filter materials depend on the type and amount of chemicals used in the workplace, but filter material category "A" or similar materials may be considered.
Hand protection:
Chemical resistant gloves are recommended when handling this product. Proper protective gloves depend on the working environment and the chemicals being processed, but we have good experience with protective gloves made from nitrile polymers. If the protective gloves start to rot, they should be replaced immediately.
